About the Space

Conveniently located in the heart of Los Feliz, welcome to Shastala.

a place where you can re-charge, re-cycle re-relax and re-create.

The place is a small oasis hidden in a secluded backyard.

Re-invented in a 1940s backyard the oasis consists of a couple of vintage trailers

parked right on the edge of a private pool. A 1964 Shasta and a 1968 Hilltop Jaguar

re-viving in a surreal settings overlooking floating  inflatable creatures,  pink flamingos

banana trees and bougainvillea .

Created by artist-filmmaker Giuseppe Asaro, Shastala is an experiment in recycled designn

an art work in progress, constantly changing and transforming 

The dining area outside the trailer by the pool features a tiky bar, a fireplace and some lounge seats.

The space can be set up for Day / Night Shoots.

Previous productions include music videos, commercials, feature films, documentaries, photo shoots

but also events such as concerts and movie screenings.


Indoor the place features a 500 square feet photo studio equipped with auto pole and black/green/white backgrounds.

The place features a bay window and a fireplace and has over 12 feet ceiling.

During the day the southern exposure guarantees a constant flow of natural light.


Additional lighting is available upon request both for the studio and the pool area.

In addition to light we have available a selection of the latest photo and video equipment.
